What is Crop Band?
Crop Band is a reusable wardrobe styling accessory that temporarily crops, tucks and shapes loose-fitting clothing without sewing or cutting. It helps women create flattering outfits using clothes they already own and is designed and sold in New Zealand for customers in New Zealand and Australia.
How does Crop Band work?
With only 3 easy steps:
- Clip it around your waist,
- Spin the closure around to the back, and
- Tuck your top up under the band to crop it (or style as you wish).

What problem does Crop Band solve?
If you’ve ever put on a boxy jumper and wished it had a bit more shape, or maybe it’s that t-shirt that you love but sometimes you wished it was cropped. Or when you’ve tried to do half-tuck with a button up shirt into your pants, it just doesn’t quite sit
right… That’s where Crop Band comes in.
It allows you to temporarily alter your clothes to work with how you want to wear them on any given day without sewing, cutting, or damaging your clothes. So, you can crop, tuck, and add shape to your clothes in seconds.

Can I use Crop Band every day?
Absolutely! Crop Band was designed with comfort in mind. Made with buttery soft elastic so
it is gentle on your skin without compromising function.
However, we do recommend getting two Crop Bands so the elastic has a change to "reset" after being used - this is around 24 hours between wears, just the same as your bras.

What types of clothing does Crop Band work with?
Crop Band is perfect for:
- Loose-fitting tops

It may not suit:
- Very fitted garments
- Thick structured jackets

Wearing Crop Band
Is Crop Band comfortable to wear?
Extremely comfortable. Ensuring Crop band was comfortable to wear all day was one of the key priorities when designing it.
Will Crop Band show through my clothing?
We’ve produced a range of colours - black, white, beige - to suit just about any outfit you pair Crop Band with and make it virtually undetectable through your clothes.
Of course, if you are wearing a see-through top, then it will be visible, but so would anything else.
Can I wear Crop Band for a full workday?
Absolutely! Crop Band was designed to be comfortable and worn all day. It’s buttery soft on the skin without compromising function.
Caring for Clothes
Will Crop Band damage my clothes?
No. Not only is Crop Band gentle on skin, but it is gentle on clothes too. Your Crop Band won’t stretch, mark, or snag your clothes when used properly.
Does Crop Band stretch fabric?
No. To ensure a firm fit, your Crop Band should be firmly fitting to your body and therefore smaller than the item you are using the Crop Band to style it with. So long as you are not pulling or stretching the fabric when styling it, your clothes won’t be stretched.
Will Crop Band leave marks on clothing?
No. Your Crop Band won’t stretch, mark, or snag your clothes when used properly.
However, we do recommend avoiding using the black band on light coloured clothes to minimise risk of dye transfer just like new denim jeans.
Does Crop Band snag knitwear?
No. Provided you have secured all the hooks correctly; there is nothing to snag your knitwear on. Crop Band is made from buttery soft elastic to ensure comfort and safe use for you and your clothes.
Caring for your Crop Band
How do I clean Crop Band?
To ensure the longevity of your Crop Band, we recommend hand washing it in cold water and leaving to dry in the shade.
How long does Crop Band last?
We’ve been selling Crop Band’s for over 2 years and are yet to have a customer buy the same colour twice and we know a number of those bands are being used multiple times a week. For my girl math lovers – that’s less than 40 cents a week!
Can I use the same Crop Band every day?
You can but elastic typically needs 24 hours to reset – this is the same reason why you’re not supposed to wear the same bra two days in a row. So, we recommend you get at least two Crop Bands if you plan to wear one most days.
How should I store Crop Band?
Your Crop Band is best stored folded/coiled up similar to how it arrived to you tucked away in a drawer.
Is Crop Band reusable?
Yes. Again, and again. There is so much fashion waste produced every year, we wanted to minimise that not add to it. It also helps you get the most out of your wardrobe by enabling you to wear one-piece multiple ways. We love a sustainability win!
Orders and Shipping
Where do you ship?
Crop Band currently only ships to New Zealand and Australia. We want to keep it local and ensure that shipping costs and timeframes are as low and quick as possible.
Do you ship throughout New Zealand?
Yes, except for Waiheke and Stewart Island. Shipping within New Zealand is a flat rate of $8. Or free shipping is you spend over $69 in an order after any discounts.
Do you ship to Australia?
Yes, we do. Shipping to Australia is a flat rate of $20.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently don’t ship further than Australia.
How long does shipping take?
Typically, shipping within New Zealand your order should be with you in 2-4 days. It may take a couple of extra days if you are rural.
Shipping to Australia typically takes around 10 days.
How much is shipping?
For New Zealand orders under $69, shipping is $8 per order, otherwise shipping is free.
For Australian orders shipping is $20 per order.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. When your parcel is scanned by the courier you will automatically start to receive tracking information.
